Rob has always intended that his challenges be an opportunity to raise money for worthwhile causes. In 2006 he chose to support two charities in conjunction with his solo record row. Trinity Hospice South London and Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice, Cardiff were the beneficiaries of this epic adventure. The goal set by Rob, was to raise £10,000 yet despite the magnificent support received the project fell short of this target.

Rob does not like unfulfilled goals and therefore he has pledged his continued support towards these two great charities knowing that this commitment will reach and exceed his goal.

Further to this  many other charities have benefited from Rob’s time and support charities such as the Scouts, RNLI, and Local Community Groups have all been supported.

Trinity is Britain’s oldest hospice. Every year, Trinity provides over 120,000 hours of nursing care, both at home and at the hospice, to people with advanced illnesses. Trinity’s aim is to enable people to live their lives in the way they choose and support everyone in achieving the best quality of life possible. More information on Trinity Hospice may be found on their website at www.trinityhospice.org.uk
